Ask Your Stylist for a Mini Treatment!

You may be most familiar with the use of Olaplex in color or texture services, but did you know the Mini Treatment is one of the most versatile salon services available? It can be used on every client, for every service– but what is is exactly? The Mini Treatment is done with Olaplex No. 2 Bond Perfector. No. 2 is the second step of the 3 step Olaplex system. It contains the same Olaplex active ingredient, Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate, plus a cream additive. It’s similar to Olaplex No. 3, but formulated for professional salon services only.

Typically a stylist would use No. 1 and No. 2 to give you what’s called a Stand Alone Treatment, to rebuild the broken bonds in the hair. This is a stellar treatment that leaves the hair feeling resilient, luxurious, and healthy. Olaplex works internally, rebuilding the broken disulfide bonds in the hair, strengthening the hair with each treatment. So why do a Mini Treatment? Why not go for the full treatment? We created this option for clients on-the-go. Those who come in for regular haircuts or styling that prefer not to add 15+ minutes onto their services. The advantage of doing a Mini Treatment, is most of the time it can be done during your service. Getting you in and out the door with healthier hair than before, without the extra time.

Here’s how you can ask for a No. 2 Mini Treatment during your next salon service:

Ask your stylist to use Olaplex No. 2 as a cutting lotion in your next haircut. The treatment is on while your hair is getting cut, giving you at least 20 minutes of bond rebuilding. You will leave the salon with healthiest feeling haircut possible.

Get a treatment prior to blow dry styling or during! You can go about this two ways. One by asking your stylist to use Olaplex No. 2 as a blow dry cream or by having them apply it at the bowl, leaving it on for 5-10 minutes prior to your service. Your hair will feel healthier and stronger than before, making the styling process a breeze.

When getting your roots touched up, ask your stylist to apply No. 2 to the rest of the hair for the duration of the base color’s processing time. Not only will you be touching up your roots, you’ll also be showing the rest of your hair some love in the process.
