While using the whole line will help your hair look even better with significantly more repair, you can mix and match products or even exclusively use Nº.3 and still benefit from OLAPLEX's patented chemistry. Some of our favorite combinations are cocktailing Nº.6 and Nº.7 together for effortless healthy hair styling and treating with Nº.0 and Nº.3 for the most intensive at-home bond building treatment.
Misconception: OLAPLEX is a conditioning treatment.
While OLAPLEX now has fabulous conditioning treatments, this misconception derives from our early days when OLAPLEX launched as a line of three comprised of Nº.1, Nº.2, and Nº.3. The first three rebuild bonds only and do not moisturize. Now, OLAPLEX has the holy grail of bond-building moisture masks and treatments like Nº.8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask, Nº.6 Leave-in Styling Treatment, and Nº.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner.
Misconception: You can overuse OLAPLEX.
OLAPLEX is safe to use as often as needed. If your hair is highly compromised, or you're simply looking to get it the best it can be, you can treat it daily with Nº.0 and Nº.3 as OLAPLEX is non-toxic and repairs the hair. It is not a protein treatment, so there's no adverse effects from using it often. Our moisture treatments are also safe to use as often as needed.
Misconception: OLAPLEX is only for colored hair.
