Testing Results

OLAPLEX products do not cause hair loss or hair breakage. Independent third-party laboratory test results, available below, show that OLAPLEX products are safe and effective.


HRIPT is an industry standard test which follows a strict protocol to ensure the product(s) tested do not cause skin irritation or skin sensitivity on normal skin types. When the products pass such a test, it means the product does not cause inflammation or sensitivity. As such, there is no induced inflammation to the hair follicle, which is the primary cause of hair loss.


In addition to the standard HRIPT test, we conducted testing on sensitive skin for several product lines to further ensure the safety of our product. These results, also available below, show that the products have no irritant or sensitizing potential.
